“For the first time, the Secretary of Commerce understands the Patent Office,” Lutnick told the assembled audience of approximately 500 people at the National Inventors Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Washington, DC, on Thursday night. And as his remarks wound down, Lutnick received his biggest applause when he told the inventors in attendance: “You have a friend, you have a supporter, and you have an admirer.”
